This is right up Jussi's alley and I'm sure he'll have a list :-)
I'm listening to "Arabian affair" by The Abdul Hassan Orchestra right now which is a great discorecord from 1978.
The fact is that it was a Dutch band pretending to be coming from an Arabian country.
I was wondering if there are other discorecords with that sort of vibe? Or real Arabian groups that were on the discoscene?
Who knows more examples?

For EuroArabian flavours try Les Allumettes: Harem/Mustafa, Desert Express, Oriental Tango by Magic Carpet, Casbah In Cairo by Sabine Sauvant, the Orient Express album or Sandstorm by La Bionda. Shakti Shakti has authentic Moroccoan singing over thudding euro beats while the bellydance disco lp by Ödel is filled with refined Eastern promise. Arabian Melody from the Pop Concerto Orchestra lp is excellent as well, only cheesier.
I'm not quite sure if 1001 Nights Of Love by Asha Puthli is supposed to be Arabic or Indian in content - try it anyway as it's very exotic.
Also with a middle-eastern flavour are...
Paris Casablanca - Dancing in Cairo
212 - Gaz-o-lean
I know it's from late 80's, but remember "Im in alu" (I'm not sure about the spelling :) ) by Ofra Haza? Nice dance track, very Arabian.
Around the same time Dissidenten released their smash hit "Fata Morgana".
La Bionda. I think they have an album from 79 or 80 that fits this criteria.
Oh you mean "Sandstorm." A great song!Originally Written by MixMasterMax

Bernie, Jussik and all the guys, thank you for the tips.
Now I only have to find everything :D
"I'm nin alu" is a great track BTW. And from a later period I also like The Caravan with "Somewhere in Arabia" which was a huge clubhit here. And also Tahoser with " 1001 nuits"
