KC & The SUnshine Band #1 songs

I just saw an ad for KC & The Sunshine Band's upcoming appearance at the Reno Hilton, which included the following:

"KC shares a distinction with the Beatles as the first artist to have four No. 1 singles in the span of one year: "Boogie Shoes", "Rock Your Baby", "Get Down Tonight" and "That's The Way (I Like It)." Notwithstranding, KC's other hits like "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Yorr Booty" and "I'm Your Boogie Man" still stand as milestones of the disco age."

I have always loved KC and the Sunshine Band's music and am glad when people compliment them. But most of the above seems simply untrue to me. "Boogie Shoes" was not #1 pop; it peaked at something like #36 on the Billboard Top 40 pop chart. Even if it was #1 on the disco chart, the statement is not true because the hit "Rock Your Baby" was not by K.C.; he wrote it for the late George McCrae. And it was from before 1975, when "Get Down Tonight" and "That's The Way (I Like It) were #1, right? This writing also implies "Shake Your Booty" and "I'm Your Boogie Man" were lesser hits than "Boogie Shoes," but they were #1 pop songs. Sure, "Boogie Shoes" was on the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack, but it was not one of the biggest charting hits from it.

This Nevada place has previously claimed "Rock Your Baby" was KC's own hit, too; I am tempted to finally write to them, but first I wanted to ask you all, aside from the #1 status of "Get Down Tonight and "That's The Way (I Like It)", do you think the rest of what they wrote in this ad was correct in any way? Anyone with an opinion, please "Give it Up", thanks.

As I replied allready in the Mc Crae topic. "Rock your baby" was written by Casey and Finch for KC & The Sunshine Band.

But the vocals were too high for KC and they looked for a singer who could manage. When George Mc Crae arrived in the studio to settle something for his also famous wife Gwen he did a test, succeeded and the rest is discohistory.
