Disco Stars: The Rich and the Poor?

Just wondering if anyone knows much about how wealthy some of the past disco artists are?

Such as KC and the Sunshine Band.

Have some artists done well and some other hit rock bottom?

Well I also wonder if the big discostars made big money.

I think some of them have but others were very careless when they signed their contracts. When I hear nu-disco now, I can clearly recognise the loops and samples from vintage classics. When I look on the sleeve they sometimes mention the original artist or he's is marked as co-writer but in many cases they just put "Copyright control" and then I'm asking myself: Is someone else making money now without paying the original artist?

I'm afraid some of the Discogods still HAVE to perform to make some money.
