Vocoder or Talk Box?? :???:
What disco song used the vocoder through electric guitar, the same way Peter Frampton did with his famous hit "Do you feel like I do".
It is from 1979

Vocoder or Talk Box?? :???:
SENHORES DO GROOVE - BRAZIL
"Put Your Feet To The Beat" by The Ritchie Family?
Can't say I know the answer to the question (though "Funkytown" seems like one possibility), but it was Peter Frampton who sang "Do You Feel Like WE Do."
Is there anyone who didn't have the Frampton Comes Alive LP way back when?!
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
It was Frampton, not Clapton guys you are too quick to reply.
Yes Ritchie Family is one, what else ?
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
If was Peter Frampton the instrument was a Talk box not Vocoder. It's not the same thing. That's why I ask about it.
SENHORES DO GROOVE - BRAZIL
Funkytown, like hundreds of other disco tracks uses the vocoder, but not combined with the electric guitar.Jeff H wrote:

I know that asnwer but can't remember it right now!!!!! I had that LP!
I'll probably remember the answer somewhere around 2 or 3 in the morning...
Anyone ?
The other disco song that comes in mind that uses the talkbox:
Disco circus - In a gadda da vida (Garden of eden)
Speaking of "Gadda da vida", I personally prefer Boney M's own extended version.

Here's another track using (I think?) this technology, Foxy - Get off
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
Honorable mention:
Tell Everybody - Herbie Hancock
This song was a sign of the times in 1977.
A Jazzyfunkentonianpercussivesynthesation that ended horny.
I loved that song!

Put your feet to the beat - The Ritchie Family was nine minutes plus that left me as a tease. I wish the percussion breakdown was longer. Nevertheless, I liked that song.On 2002-05-29 11:34, Graham Start wrote:
