an essential question for me (lol)

I'm on this forum for 2 months and i have noticed that everybody talk about disco, disco and again disco but never about funk music ....

This forum is strictly Disco or that's because people here don't like funk?

I say that because in the "top 10 song sof the week" or " the 10 favorite songs" i always see disco song from 1973 to 1979 (maximum) but never songs from 1981 82 83 &84

Thanks for answer me and excuse my poor english.

    Mon cher ami,

Well it's discoforum mainly. And funk is discussed in another section. I too noticed that members are mainly discofanatics but that they also discuss Zapp and others.

It all depends a little bit on the taste the members have. I like both styles.

I'm also fairly new but I find this an excellent forum and I already learned a lot here.

So, make your funk-posts and I will surely read 'em and respond to 'em.

    Bien à vous :D

i don't like disco songs before 1979. For me the best era is 1979-1984.

i'm addicted to groups like Cameo, midnight star, zapp, Dayton, the brothers jonhson, the jacksons, Dtrain, in deep, prince and many others.

Well, don't take this as an attack. Some of the finest songs ever done were done pre 1979. Any particular reason you didn't like that stuff? I'm sure I and others could find a bunch of stuff, say from '72 to '79, you would fall in love with.

Looking at your taste. How about a couple of these songs from 1976/1976:

    Crown Heights Affair - Dancin'
Jacksons - Show You The Way To Go
    Blackbyrds - Happy Music
Le Pamplemouse - Get Your Boom Boom
    Find them and destroy them!
