you have never heard of them before? their music has been used in dozens of commercials for over 20 years now.
Hi, everybody! I was wondering if anybody knows if the song 'You're the love' by Seals & Crofts is available on CD. I tried Amazon, but nothing.
Also, Do Seals & Crofts have other disco songs as good as that one? I never heard of them before. (Thanks Kubanito again for telling me they were the performers of 'You're the love' song)

:o :o :o Seals & Croft --- Disco? :o :o :o
This is a soft-rock duo from the early 70's. Here's a link to "You're The One" on a rock CD compilation. I think you're looking for the wrong group.
Seals & Croft - You're The Love
Nicky, I think he's not looking for the wrong group. "You're the one" is definitely not disco but when you don't know the musical background of Jim Seals and Dash Crofts you can call it some sort of "Soul ballad", although the vocals are sounding very C&W to me.
The song was released in 1978 by the way.
But, indeed, they are a soft-rock group and I think you won't find much disco with those guys except maybe this one.
I heard the song in the website, but that wasn't the song I was looking for. I guess it's not Seals & Crofts. The one I'm looking for is this one:
MIDI File:
http://members.aol.com/galocha2001/youarethelove.mid
I think that the lyrics were:
You're the love
You're the love
You're the love
You're the love
Yes I think so (?)
You're the way
You're the way
You're the way
In my life
??????
Ohhhh... my-y lo-ovee...
you-ou-ou-ou-ou
Girl,
Girl,
you-ou-ou-ou-ou
ahhh!
ahhh!
Please let me know if you recognize this song and who did it and if it's available on CD. I'm not even sure if the title is 'You're th love'
Well, now I'm not sure, since when I click the links to listen to the samples in this web site
http://www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?pfid=1108103
I found out that most of the songs are mislinked (for example I click on 'Grease' and I hear 'Emotion' which is not even it the same CD) So I'm not sure if the song I get when I click 'You're the love' is really 'You're the love' or not. Can anybody help me on that?
You're right. The music links are incorrect. And not just on Tower. I guess the websites all use the same service. Maybe someone who knows the song can give a listen and say if it's Seals & Croft. It sure didn't sound like your midi file.
Good Luck.
(and later...)
OK --- Here's the lyrics to "You're The Love" by S & C and it does look like your song. Too bad we can't hear it. :)
