Straight Disco We Love: Disco Tex & the Sex-o-lettes

In keeping with the feedback that this forum has become dominated by the gay agenda, I would like to institute a new weekly thread: Straight Disco We Have Loved. This is to celebrate the enormous contribution heterosexuals have made to our beloved disco music: a celebration of straight pride, if you will. This is a place for you to show your love for disco's inherent straightness. No rainbow flag waving allowed!!!

For our inaugural subject, I have chosen an act born at the dawning of disco to help preserve its red-blooded masculinity: Disco Tex & the Sex-o-Lettes. Led by a paragon of blue-collar America, Sir Monti Rock III (born Joseph Montanez), this early disco act was overseen by none other than Bob Crewe of the Four Seasons — you can't get any straighter than that! (Incidentally, Bob Crewe would go on to form The Bob Crewe Generation, whose 1976 Street Talk LP would include such straight disco anthems as "Cherry Boy," "Menage A Trois," "Back Alley Boogie," and "Ah Men!")

With his furs, fine polyester suits, and long cigarette holder, Sir Monti Rock was an early icon of straight disco who always kept it real while performing on The Merv Griffin Show and other utterly wholesome, utterly heterosexual TV programs. Who can forget Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes' monster straight disco smash from 1975, "Get Dancin'. With spoken exhortations like "Nobody how you wear your hair, darling, just keep doin' it," Rock exhibited the freewheeling spirit that is at the heart of the straight disco experience.

Sir Monti Rock, we salute you!

Alright, this was funny, but now it's time to stop all the nonesense of the last few days. I'm not going to let ANYONE continue dragging the forum down. If anyone doesn't like it, please leave.
