I finally got to hear some music from the reunion. I wanted to attend last year and never got there.

    Disco will never die!!!

My favorite mix of all was the sleaze mix from a few weeks back.

Thanks for the kind words. It's really been fun to be on this site for the past two months. It's nice to know so many people are still into the music. I thank Bernie for having me and for keeping it alive for all of us.
I'll be doing another reunion for Marty Angelo's "Disco Step By Step" (tm) on Friday June 7. The crowd there has never experienced the "sleaze" sound that you referred to, so I'm going out on a limb and actually starting off my set with "sleaze" before taking the crowd to other destinations. Wish me luck.
Bernie has agreed to play part of my set here on the site so I hope you and the rest of the regulars enjoy that one as well.
    All the best.

    John,

I second nrgbeat's "thanks" to you (AND Bernie) for making those mixes available for us to listen to over the past few weeks. It's been most enjoyable. I haven't listened to the current one yet, BUT my fave was the sleaze set also, as I've told you before. ( Please forgive my Eddie Haskell obsequious butt-kissing ways)

Please let us know how the next gig goes and would it be too piggy of myself to request that you post your set list after the gig????????

It's such a rare opportunity for us here to pick the brains of a legendary DJ who still spins.

I have sooo many things I want to know about how you "Work a Crowd" and "Create the Drama" (a term I've seen Bobby Viteritti & Robbie Leslie bandy about). I know a lot of this stuff is just instinctual and can't be put into words, but if there are any theories or practices that can be expounded upon, I know, a lot of us would be MOST INTERESTED.

Also, I know that DJ's don't like to give up their "secrets", so I understand if you'd rather not. But, since it's NOT your dayjob anymore....I'd sure be curious to hear your stories.

Someday, I'm gonna do a post about some of the Bobby V. quotes I've got...but I haven't gotten that little project together yet.

You are the best! Looking forward to seeing you next week in Buffalo. I've listened to all of your mixes here and they all are excellent. They bring back a lot of fond memories.

Can't wait to hear you on Friday. I know you have something very special planned... as usual.

    I love ya, brother

    John:

All of your mixes were awesome! My 2 favorites were the New Year's Eve 1982 , the Studio 54 party, and the Reunon one. Keep on the great job!
