You Go! Barry!
Yanked off the market at $1400+ "not for sale." I'm not that familiar with what rare 12" from recently deceased artists go for on eBay. Is it that unreasonable? Can I expect Barry White stuff to "bubble" and maybe go down, or just continue to go up from here?
When cartoon voice-over legend Mel Blanc passed years ago, certain collectors put up some of the "cels" (artwork that they then use to run together to animate) of Elmer Fudd for sale at over $8,000 a piece and people snapped 'em up! But now, the same cels are going for from $1,400-$5,500 depending upon condition, a few years after Mr. Blanc's passing.
I'm a big Barry White fan (was intrigued to find out we both smoked the same brand of cigarette). That voice, that fabulous voice (and I'm a straight guy) could charm a cat off of a fish-wagon!
