I'm listening to "Disco Nights" by Genhard Heintz. Not only is this a very good tune, it also includes one of the all too rare references to AFTER SHAVE in recorded music. "Feeling good...wearing your favourite after shave".
Also in that same exquisite mood: "Strip Tease" by Diane Dufresne, an elegantly naughty number done the way only the French can do. Diane emotes and purrs over a midtempo backing while a chorus line of guys coax her on. I'm sure what she's shedding is classy lingerie, not some cheap bri-nylon.
"Rape" by The Rippers is more questionable, but still, it's a kicking track. The picture sleeve is a bit tasteless, too. Like it a lot.
One more: "Dance The Oriental Dance" by Babylone is a long mock-ethnic 12" from 1977. There's a great eastern string section and Jean-Luc Drion/Jean Kluger-style percussion.

I am the world's biggest Diane Dufresne fan ever !!!!

Strip Tease is indeed a great, slightly naughty, funky song.It should be noted that all the instrumental tracks from the Strip tease album were recorded in California by studio musicians who were playing on many disco classics coming from L.A. at the time.

In 1980 - Diane opened her show at the Montreal Forum (first ever Quebecoise singer to ever perform at the mythical stadium) - with a see-through camisole and a coat made of balloons. At the end of the first song - she let go of the coat and started the song Strip Tease.

Diane is Quebec's premiere female rock star.

Back in 1977 - She also did another one called Vingtieme Etage - same type of guitar-riff and danceable as well.

    1. Armoleum: Mescaleros - Italy 1976, . Morricone spaghetti western/Nico Fidenco soft core/men-in-gabardine action sounds melted with fuzzy guitars, churning synths and chanting nymphettes. Disco don't come better than this.
    2. Barbarella: The Queen Of Love - Italy, no year given in the label. Future porn star Barbarella aka Virna Bonino (who starred in "Sodoma Piacere Proibiti") comes from the Dietrich/Lear/Haag/Miss Bibi Andersen school of singers. The song is extremely catchy and very cheaply done. The less-than-perfect sound q and the cheap synths of course only add to the charm.
    3. Lucrethia Lips: I'm The Viper - Italy 1977. A hissing reptile woman snarls nasty lyrics and spits venom over a funky backtrack. A true sleaze classic.

Diana Ross - In The Mix (Almighty Records UK) - Just released an MP3 download album of remixes for La Ross and it includes a 1:08 continuous megamix of her Motown hits - brilliant!
