    Empress "Dyin' To Be Dancin'"

Can anyone tell me the basics of this record? Year? Chart position? Producer and label?

I love it. Great funky 80's vibe. I'd say 1980 release, 1981 at the latest.

This drives me nuts!!! :-? Doesn't anyone check in the other sections of this site? You know, the Disco Record Vault A-Z!!! I've spent lots of time (years) putting tons of records with label info... on this site. Please, please use it and place comments there as well. :) :) :)

Please see the following for label/year info, but no chart positions...

It was produced by the same team of Crown Heights Affair members (Ray Reid, Ray Rock and William Anderson) who were behind Unlimited Touch on Prelude. If you like this check out their first LP and also the Rocket LP on Quality.

No wonder then that I like so much both this Empress track and Unlimited Touch's "I hear music in the street" and "Searchin' to find the one". Must get ahold of these Crown Heights Affair guys. 8)

They also wrote and produced France Joli's "NOW" lp, which included "Gonna Get Over You."

From the same producers is the Trilark album on Handshake rec. which is now reissued on CD and LP.
It is a must for every early 80's Funk & Soul Collection.
