    Two songs of today

These two I found in the radio and of course they're not disco (but they're danceable):

    1) In the vein of "House of jealous lovers" (The Rapture) but more catchy and with some Edge-like guitar. The chorus goes "Dance in the underground" or something very similar.

    2) The first part of the song is so-Supertramp like! Thinking a bit, the melody is almost a rip-off of "Babaji" (Even on the quietest moments LP). Then comes the chorus which is absolutely SUNNY. In the video clip they're playing outside, in front of a wall painted bright red. Young pop rock band unknown to me.

Can you tell me names and artists? Pl-eee-a-se??!!

"Dance to the Underground" is by Radio 4, a New York band. they have a remix EP called Electrify with several good mixes of that track.

i haven't seen the video for the second track, but there is a recent remake of "Sunny" by the Boogie Pimps - it samples the Boney M version and was recently popular in europe and probably places beyond but not in america.

Thanks! Regarding the second track, I meant that the chorus is very upbeat, we-all-feel-good vibe, so it's kind of "sunny", IYKWIM (this goes for "if you know what I mean"). 8)

oh, i understand now. well, there is a french rock group called Phoenix and they've obviously studied Supertramp - their best and most successful song is "If I Ever Feel Better," which was featured in the movie Lost in Translation, and that does have an unmistakable Supertramp keyboard sound. they have a newer album, but i haven't played it enough to know if the single fits your description. i can however recommend their first album *United* or the *Lost in Translation* soundtrack, both of which contain "If I Ever Feel Better."

Well it's not Phoenix. But last night I catched the video again and paid attention to the chorus. It goes more or less like this:

this - love - has - taken its toll, I mean
she said - goodbye - too many times before
but - my - heart - is - breaking it further, I mean
I had no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymore

does this ring some bell? A bright pop song, with electric piano carrying the melody.

The song you're looking for is probably 'This Love' by Maroon 5.

Yes it is! I see in Barnes & Noble that the album (Songs about Jane) is from 2002. Strangely the track was aired on radio pretty much this year, and the clip is around too.
Isn't the first part VERY similar to Supertramp's "Babaji"? I find it so.
    Thanks Forrrce.
