    Martin Circus

I have the Martin "Disco" Circus album. I bought it in France in 1980, and I bought it really for the track "Ite missa est" (red transparent vinyl no less!!). For those from Holland and familiar with a disco in Den Haag called Marathon, this was their signature tune.

On the B-side is the track "Disco circus" which I believe has a certain cult status in the US (??). My album is indicating that it is music that accompanied a (rather cheesy looking) movie: "Les Bidasses En Vadrouille". Does anyone know more about that movie?

And is the Disco Circus album that I see circulating on E-Bay and GEMM the same album? Most importantly, does it contain "Ite Missa Est"? Because the problem is that my album has a terrible wobble which was inflicted by my old VW Beetle. After playing a gig, my records were against the stick shift tunnel, which, with my style of driving at the time, got rather warm...

:D The Bidasses-movies are a French series which can be a little bit compared with the "Police Academy"-stuff. Young soldier-recruits who are causing a mess wherever they come.

"Disco circus" and "Shine baby shine" are my favourite Martin Circus-tracks.

    Maarten,

I didn't post this because when you said "French copy" I assumed you wanted it on that label (Vogue). In any case, here's the Prelude (US) lp track list. (You've probably already checked this out in the Disco Records section. :D )
