Love your list. These are some of my faves. I'm looking for the records listed above. Where did you find them? Downloads? Or are they on some cd compilation?

Hi Markie have you noticed that 100% of these songs are in the Billboard Disco Charts?
Well answering your question:

Cool listing of songs.... at a glance.. it appears they are from 1973-74.
Let us know if you start up a new 2 CD set with 1975-76....
Hopefully you'll include

Hi,
the brazilian compilation our friend RHESSEL mentioned is called BLACK BEAT and it was edited in vinyl in the 70's by EPIC/CBS records in 7 volumes. 2 of the original albums [#1 and #6] were released on CD by SONY in the 90's - in a lousy edition I must say; the other volumes of the collection are CD-Rs made from the original LP editions.
This BLACK BEAT series was immensely popular in BRASIL at the time and even today - that is why we know so well obscure tracks like RITA FORTUNE's or SPIRITUAL CONCEPT's LET'S TAKE IT ALL or LOVE COMMITTEE's ONE DAY OF PEACE.
MARKY, I have THE MODULATIONS album on LP and, with a big hand from our big friend BLAXMAN, I have passed it to CD with GREAT SOUND QUALITY. If you want a copy, let me know, OK?
More than one day of piece for U and me,
zeca azevedo :D
Geez, my thanks to the "Boys From Brazil"!!!! :D
Rhessel,
I found the Whispers' "Bingo: The Janus Recordings (1972- 1974)" on cd at Amoeba. Thanks for the tip. It compiles the 3 LPs the Whispers recorded for Janus. The third one-- "Bingo" is the best. Very Philly/Spinners sound. I loves it!!!!! "Where Is The Love" is my fave; it gives me those "I remember hearing this back then" feelings. :D
Zeca,
If it's not too much trouble. I'd love to have the Modulations LP. pm me, baby.![]()
