Apparently he got tired of 007 and refused to appear in the next film of the saga.

I don't think Bana fits the 007 role. Maybe Hugh Jackman would have been better. Don't know.

The good news is that Kylie Minogue might be the next Bond Girl

Please, not Eric Bana. :-? Too young, too green

Give Brosnan all the money he's asking for!

In the European press there are rumours that John Cleese will be the next Bond. Say no more

It's possible since they are talking of doing a remake of Casino Royale. Jimmy Bond will be back.

And Kylie Minogue????? Let's resume our Halle Berry-topic!!:D

Voyage: certainly Carole does a great bouquet (pun intended), but it's been like 15 years since I saw her in a movie. I remember that one with Gerard Depardieu, "Tres belle por moi" (I think by Bertrand Blier) where GD dumps her for an ugly woman. Strange movie, and she's the encarnation of perfect beauty.
Now, I wouldn't kick Kylie out of bed either :)

LOL about what u said of Bana Videoskooter LOL Can't agree more with you lol

    Yeah Kylie is HOT

Carole Bouquet...the only movie I've seen from her is For Your Eyes Only, although I've heard of That Strange Object Of Deisre...whatever, it's a 1977 Buñuel film with Angela Molina. Nowadays GD and her have a wine company, and she's seen at times in Paris, Cannes, and Monaco (friend of Grace Kelly's daughter). Hahaha well looks like I gave you a quick update on her haha

I don't know if any of you have seen Kylie's new video called "Chocolate" there some scenes where she has this wig and does 60s/70s Bond Girl movie credit sequences. She looks belle, trés belle!

I also read Heidi Klum might be a Bond Gal :)

    Je t'aime Kylie :P

I think Halle is a very pretty woman but not that sexy to me if that makes any sense. I'm sure Bernie like myself would not kick Halle out of bed. Coming from me though that may not sound like much to some of you
Speaking of sexy, hey Boodi! We never did get a chance to talk about Frida. You were awol when the movie was out and we never did get a chance to talk about our babe :D I really enjoyed her performance to the extent that I got into her portrayal of her character.

    Paul: you're right, I don't get who's "coming from me" :)

Voyage: so Gerard and Carole are business partners... I didn't know that. You'll like the Buñuel movie, it's about an old man (Fernando Ray) trying to get carnal with a beautiful -but very hysterical- girl. Buñuel, genius as he was, chose to portrait this mood-changing gal with two actresses: so she's Carole Bouquet when she's decent and shy, and Angela Molina when pulling sexy. Of course nothing of this is explained (it's Buñuel, remember :) ), but when you get it it's very fun.

"The man with the red tattoo" seems to be the new Bond-title about a villain who wants to destroy the world with a virus (that's new!)

But....I shortly met Halle yesterday :o and, damn, she was beautiful, with long curly hair and a tight shirt and trousers and ....OMG

I spoke to Carole Bouquet once in Brussels. Beautiful but icecold :(

Hey Nano, I guess you are referring to this. When I or other english speakers say Coming from me, we mean the words and/or statements we used. Example: I love Salma Hayek, coming for me that's no surprise. I don't know if that helped. I'm not an english major and in the original statements, I probably could have inserted a comma somewhere. I had a college professor that used to hammer us for the overuse of commas. To this day, I'm still not comfortable using 'em. :o

Oh, I see. You know, coming from you, I thought you were referring to a girl (namely Halle) who was "coming" from (i.e. thanks to) some diligent work on your part :)

    Stop the press!

Eric Bana strongly denied that he will take over the stiff upper lip performance from Sir Brosnan.

"I won't and will never play double-oh-oh 7", he said.

Press over here is now speculating that Geoffrey Moore is in the lead and could be following in Sir Roger's footsteps.

Bana also strongly denied that he ever will be Halle Berry!

Now there's talking about a Bond "prequel" which would take place during 007's stay at college. Orlando Bloom was signaled to take the lead, á la River Phoenix in the Indiana Jones saga. But it still has to be confirmed.
Apparently Miramax works the franchise now (don't know how it fell into their hands).

Jesus Christ Nano, I hope they don't go there. I just can't see how this will attract any interest and I gotta believe this will only hurt what credibility is left in the Bond series. Not to mention a lot of today's actors don't seem the man's man type like a Sean Connery, Cameron Mitchell or Richard Roundtree.
Quite honestly, they should just stop making them. These times are far too politically correct for my taste and for the style of movie that Bond represents. I can't imagine them having a Sean Connery type character bedding down several babes with names like Pussy Galore. Add to that he's getting liquored up before he hits the road. I love it but I'm part of another generation!

I agree. Maybe this is just a thing for an older generation and they should be thinking in another kind of secret agent for the young people (without expensive suits, smoking joints and listening to The Beta Band :) ).
Anyway, I would like to see Quentin Tarantino doing a JB movie (he was once interested in a Man from U.N.C.L.E. remake, so it's not so absurd to think of him). If he did it just for the fun (and plenty of cash), and did not waste 5 years doing it, I would certainly be interested.

"Die another day" with Pierce was a hit. So I don't know why it should be a young guy playing Bond. To me, Bond has to be a man who's seen the world and with all respect all the young gods like Colin Farell and (Ex-Bond???) Eric Bana don't seem to have enough maturity for the character.

En what happened to the "Jinx"-project with miss Berry? Probably on the shelf?

And the young "far out" Bond that Nano is referring to? Don't we have XXX for this character. Vin Diesel was an alternative Bond in my eyes with almost all the ingredients: Women, gadgets, cars (OMG that GTO :P).

I'm with you guys: Bond must be Bond and hopefully they're not going to restyle him too much.

But what happened with the "Jane Bond"-series? Ginger Lynn :o , now that was what man could call action
