    What Did Whoopi Say?

The Village Voice reveals Whoopi's scandalous utterance at the Kerry/Edwards fundraiser....

"Nothing has given me more pleasure than bush....Someone has tarnished the world in the name of Bush....Keep bush where it belongs, not in the White House."

That's supposedly all it was.

I guess it's time for a Musique comeback! Imagine their chant "push, push, in the Bush" ornating the presidential campaign! :P

That' it! :o I kept hearing how 'vulgar' it was. What's the big deal with this? Too many minds in the gutter, maybe. All inuendo, no substance.

Yep, Nicky. My thoughts exactly. Why no one chose to report what she said I can't fathom. But, by not reporting it, everyone's imaginations went into overdrive and assumed it was waaaaay more perverted and nasty than the actual quote.

Wasn't she making jokes about Dubya while referring to Bush as in da bush in da female zone?

What's happening over there? Where are Beavis and Butthead? Playing golf?

America is not on the righteous path! First we had that disgusting nipple-incident by Miss Nasty and now comedians make sexual remarks. This has to be stopped!

Family values! Good old-fashioned clean entertainment!

"Debbie does Dallas", that was a feelgood movie!

What will be next? A scene where Will Smith is naked under the shower???

Thanks for finding that Marky. The wingnuts used their usual tactics in not giving the quote, just interpretation and inuendo.

Talk about innuendo and double entendre

Whoopi can use "bush" and leave it to an imagination that is either naive and pristine, or one such as mine which is ever seeking the filthiest, most humorous, politically-incorrect way to construe a soundbite.

Funny, though, that only a month after the "bush" debacle, Mrs. Heinz-Kerry says "shove it" ON THE RECORD, and a stink is not raised (pardon the pun). Moreover, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton seconds the notion by going on the record with a hearty "you go, girl!"

Shame on Slimfast. Liberal Democrats diet, too. By dismissing her as their spokesperson, they've now isolated what may even be a larger demographic than they would have had they just let it weather over. Let's face it; (and I speak from professional experience) the kind of people who respond to Slimfast's market research have enough time on their hands to do so. Anti-Bush folks are busy either a) working two jobs; b) enriching themselves reading, etc. or c) trying to get either Kerry or (God forbid!) Nader elected. Slimfast is obviously myopic to this "silent majority."

Whoopi, you go, girl. I am a Republican and Bush is the most shameful thing to happen to the party since his father.

Calm down, Marky -- listen and learn

Yes, indeed, "JudyDoggie" is a man. The nickname is a concatenation of two nicknames I earned when working in the music and club biz in NYC in the late '70s and 1980s. And yes, I'm a fiscal Republican with a social conscience. The Town Council of the community I live in is predominately Democrat. Our taxes are enormous. On a home worth approximately $380,000 I paid $10,855 in property taxes last year.

On a Federal level, there was an economist named Lauffer whose thesis was that when taxes go down fewer people work hard at sheltering their income so Federal revenues actually go up. This phenomenon is called the "Laffer Curve" and can be found in any second-year Economics text.

The Republican ideal is what Lincoln described so many years ago; I'll paraphrase to keep it simple; if you keep government as compact as possible, the businesses and communities will work together to help those who cannot help themselves. Naive? I think not. The problem is that we've become so accustomed to having the government control every little thing we do; to unleash things we'd have to go through a rough period of self-realization whilst we adjust to the eventual domination of the inherent good of human beings over evil. (Reagan's deregulation of the banks was a dismal failure of this experiment because he started at the wrong place -- deregulating the banks was like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse -- even though I liked Reagan's foreign policy. His "head in the sand" policy about AIDS stunk, too)

Marky, consult my profile and get in touch with me for more details about my peculiar nickname. I assure you I am a straight, married man -- There are members of this website who saw the nickname and got in touch with me at once 'cause they knew who it was!

Marky: I'm not trying to "fool" anyone.

    Dear Marky:

My sincere apologies if you thought I was trying to fool you.

However, I have no apologies at all about being a Republican. Read my previous post a little more carefully, and go to the library, or online, and research the work of Arthur Laffer (I misspelled his name above) vis-a-vis taxation vs. revenue and you, too, may become a fiscal Republican, too!

    Dear judydoggie,

I really thought you were a chick!!!!

And, if NOT a chick-- a "friend of Dorothy"--you know the "Judy" part. (The Judy who played Dorothy. Get it?)

But a Republican!!! I always get into fights with them around here. But they are usually Latin hetero Dittoheads who live in the South--most likely in the Village of The Damned--FLORIDA!!! :P

So I'll try to be nice. :D I'm not rich, so I'm happy to be a Democrat. I've never voted for a single Republican my entire life. It's just against my nature. As a gay male, how could I align myself with that party? The "Log Cabin" closet cases are such sad creatures. How could you want to belong to a party that finds your existence repulsive and won't even take your money?!!!! Remember when Bob Dole returned their check? Talk about self-loathing!!!

OK, I'll step off the soap box.

P.S. Is Dubya a "Fiscal Conservative"???   He be spending and spending like there's no tomorrow. Let's build some more roads in Iraq with my tax dollars. But don't let me get married to get a tax break. I wanna pay MORE taxes cause I gotta claim "Single" (it's the end of civilization if I get "married") and please, please, please send it all over to Iraq, m'kay???
