    James Brown goes Classic

Mr. James Brown was in Belgium a few weeks ago. Saw the man and he was still in great shape.

    But now the news.

At the end of the year his majesty will be back here and will be doing something very special and perhaps unique.

Every year we have the "Night of the Proms" which is different from the original English version.

Mr. Brown will perform together with a Classical Symphonic Orchestra and that's something to look forward to.

It'll be in Antwerp at the Sporting Palace. If there are people who wanna see this, please be very quick coz' tickets are usually sold out in no time.

The second star who is announced is Joe Cocker and the third one is Shaggy.

I wonder if he's gonna perform some of his classic songs from the early years.... some of them had strings...

    Oh Dear!!! :o :o :o

This sounds like a recipe for a load of pretentious codswallop.

Surely, putting JB with a symphony orchestra is missing the point.

Quinny: Sorry for the diversion, Videoskooter, but what exactly is "codswallop". I've been wondering ever since I heard Hagrid use it in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone.

NickNack: Codswallop is just a lil' old English word for nonsense. James Brown with a symphony orchestra just struck me as being as harmonious as a Gorilla mating with an Elephant.

Some explanation. The Night of the Proms is a special formula. Not all the songs are performed only accompanied by the Orchestra. There also will be electric instruments.

Songs like "Please, please, please" or "It's a man's world" could well work out. It's not a James Brown concert either. The invited artists only do a couple of songs.

So don't panic, the world is not coming to an end :D

Oh-yes. Since the Belgian Night of the Proms is also visiting Holland and Germany, please take notice of the fact that James Brown will ONLY perform in Antwerp.
