    Nice finds. I'm jealous!

Would you consider adding these records to the Disco Records Vault A-Z? I'm sure other collectors would find it useful. Thanks.

Is this the same as the lp? What's the flip side?

    Hi Karlos,
Can you tell me the year of release of that Instant Funk 12"? And what's on side 2? That track is not featured in the IF LPs I have (the first two).

The Instant Funk track is a promo they did for Philly Intl (before they moved to Salsoul) in 1976. It's the same track on both sides but one side is Stereo and one's in mono!
Think I was lucky to pick it up as I haven't seen it for sale for ages, not even on E-Bay!

Lucky you are... I didn't know they had recorded anything by their own name before their first LP for Salsoul (the one with "I got my mind made up"). :o

The LP from were this comes isn't so rare. It contains the hit "It ain't really reggae but it sure is funky" along with a few other good cuts.

Karlos - are you intersted in any non rare 12"'s/lp's or do you only like collectable and promo only 12"? It seems a very silly way of choosing your music? :-?

    Karlos,

Where did you find these records? On e-Bay? Or in a record store? If the latter, where do you live?-- cause I've never seen most of those on 12" in my plowing through record bins.

    Hi Karlos,

"David Ruffin - Walk away from love
Tavares - Don't take away the music"

these are 2 of my favorite records. David Ruffin's WALK AWAY FROM LOVE is a soul masterpiece. surely the best record ... VAN McCOY ever made!!! His production work is superb and he brings out the best of DAVID RUFFIN as a singer with the beautiful, lush-yet-passionate instrumental track. A 10/10 in my book :D

About TAVARES, I don't know if I can call DON'T TAKE AWAY THE MUSIC a masterpiece, but I L-O-V-E THIS RECORD! And that's enough for me [and yes, I know that a part of the melody of DON'T TAKE AWAY... was taken from BACKSTABBERS by THE O'JAYS]

    Peace,

zeca azevedo, I'm listening to DELEGATION - WHERE'S THE LOVE while I'm typing this - great song too, don't you agree? :D
