    Help me ID obscure early 80's song (identified)

    Hi all, last time I was here I got my mystery song identified...thanks again TetMatteu! Maybe lightening will strike twice, but with a little less detail and no sound clip...sorry. It's sheer brain power for this one...

    All I remember was that the song was slower than your average disco hit (actually, it's slower than Natasha King's AM-FM) and a group of singers chanted the refrain "make it happen, make it happen, make it happen, (?)make it on your own (???)" in the back, and a male voice talks, but not sings on the song, at least I think the only singing is the refrain. It's an upbeat song if I recall it right, kind of motivating listeners to make life happen for themselves, or something like that.

    The first thing coming to mind is "Take A Chance" by Queen Samantha. Their chant:

    MAKE IT HAPPEN / GONNA DO IT, GONNA DO IT / MAKE IT HAPPEN...

    Just a guess. And I don't know the tempo of the Natasha King song so I could be way off.

    Wild guess.

    I'm thinking something like "Adventures in Success" by Will Powers (Island /1983) He talks. The chorus is sung...amd "make it happen" sounds right.

    Hi NickNack! The song I'm looking for is around 89-93 BPM. "Take A Chance" seems to be around 118. Thanks for trying though...next contestant please...
