Song Id's needed

1). The first one I asked before but Barry wasn't on the board then so I thought I'd give it a second try.

It's a downtempo remake of "Reflections"(Supremes) with a heavy European accent and a rap at one point in the song.

2). This one I heard in a club in the late 80's. It's a remake of "La Bamba". Don't think it was Antonia Rodriguez as I know that version. This one had an 80's Hi-NRG sound.

"La Bamba" was also recorded by a group called Rags To Riches, circa 1983, I believe. It was in a medley with a cover of "El Watusi", as I recall. I have it at home; can't look now. :roll:

I recall putting this version on a tape with some other Latin oriented Disco music for some Hispanic friends. They took it to a party and later told me the girl singing said some real nasty things in Spanish on it. Right over my head. :oops:

Still they danced.

Well I went to AMG and they have this on a compilation "Latin Disco" on Thump Records:

So maybe it was Rags & Riches? :o

I don't think it was Rags To Riches. Someone Id that from one of the White Party streams a few months ago.

This one as I recall had more of a late 80's NRG feel. I think it was done to cash in on the "La Bamba" movie that was out then.

When you say that you don't think it's Antonio Rodriguez, you don't sound too convinced.

Back in 1987 Ultimix did a remix of Antonio Rodriguez's La Bamba. It was on Ultimix 14 as a flashback. This is also the same year the movie was released.
