Hi! I just received this CD, which has the subtitle "A collection of Latin influenced club favorites.) Being Hispanic and familiar with most of the tracks, I ordered it from CDNOW. This is my review:

The selections are pretty good overall, and most songs are in their extended or long versions, but I found two substantial problems. 1) The audio quality is only fair. A few tracks sound OK but most others are simply bad. I'm under the impression that some tracks were transfered directly from vinyl using a poor-quality transfering process. 2) The songs are mixed into each other and most mixes are terrible; most endings are simply cut-off and then you hear the intro of the next song, which is usually brought in after the actual starting point of the song. As a result, you have a lot of songs with bad intros and endings.

My personal opinion? Don't get the CD. If you want it, ask somebody (me???) to be gracious and put it on tape for you. I'll oblige.

Hi! This is the track listing:
    1) Mi no pop (Que pasa contigo) 6:17 --The ending is cut off during the mix with the next song.
    2) Don't let me be misunderstood 10:44. Ending is cut off.
    3) Hot Shot 8:23. Fairly well mixed with the next song:
    4) Jingo 9:23. Badly mixed with the next song:
    5) San Salvador. 6:34 Cut off and badly, badly mixed with the next song:
    6) Acuestate conmigo. 4:17. Badly mixed with:
    7) Magic bird of fire. 4:47 Badly mixed with
Cocomotion. 5:30. Fairly well mixed with the next song. This is probably the best mix in this CD.
    9) Cafe. 10:51. Badly, badly mixed with the next song:
    10) Mandolay. 6:16.

I was only a fair DJ. My mixes were never that great but even I had better mixes than these.

An update: Since buying it, I have listened to this Cd 4 more times. Sometimes you need to develop an ear for mixes or some other detail. In this case I have had to turn a deaf ear. This CD is, simply, a piece of you-know-what. I wish I could send it back and get a refund!

Please stay tuned. Since finding this site I have spent around $1200 in CDs. I will share other reviews in the upcoming weeks.
