Looks like 'If You Read My Mind' by Columbus Circle on Elektra/Street Sound.
The line is something like '...you're the one I'm pleased... that I please'.
Hello All,
This particular song had two lines that I can somewhat id.
1st line "If you read my mind, if you read my mind,
if you read my mind"
2nd line "you're he one I need, you're the one I need"
The lines are actually in different parts of the song. The heart of the song is mostly from a synthesized rhythm. The vocals are male. Early 80's. Use to hear it at Zanzibar's out in Newark,NJ.
That is what I remeber.
Thanks for any help.
Tet

What would you do without your muesli...where would you be without a bowl?
Thanks Forrce,
I have been browsing through some of the questions and you seem to keep coming up with the answers.
If I get my hands on the song I will tell you if that was the one.
I got one more for you.
There was another heavy synthesized song that I used to hear at Zans. The only vocals you heard were "ah-oh-ah...(unintelligible words)...Ah-oh-ah"
Any thoughts?
Hello, Tet - I reckon it's the one.
'Zulu' by The Quick may be the other track you're after. If you can think of any more aspects of this mystery track you can share, put 'em up.
If it's not 'Zulu', it may be 'Heobah' by the darling Fonda Rae on Posse, if it's female-led and almost gospel-like.
Good luck.

Hey Forrce,
I don't think it was Fonda Rae, It was mostly male vocals (chorus of voices).
I can try to do a little hooked on phonics with the music.
"tu-ru ra-ririruru, ta rira rira rih raruru"
was one of the main rifts.
