A NEW RELEASE I'D RECOMMEND TO ALL DISCO/JAZZ FUNK FANS

Just listened through to a new CD we got in the shop today by Joey Negro presents the Sunburst Band "Until the End of Time"and I really thought I should tell some of you people about. This is a brand new CD in the same kind of style as maybe Brand New Heavies/Incognito but with more of a disco/early 80's feel - there is even a Go Go track! It features a few 70's disco stars (Linda Clifford, Taka Boom, Lucy Martin and Norma Jean Chic) and has some nice souly mid tempo cuts along side some great modern disco. I know peeps were moaning about much contempory music being at a bit boring, so if you need your faith restored I'd recommend picking up a copy of this album. :D :D

Joey Negro's consistantly been putting out really impressive records for 15 years now. His real name is Dave lee & he apparently loves disco music so much that he's known as Disco Dave! :D

Just found this rather amusing QnA with Mr Lee - well it made me chuckle

QnA: Dave Lee - DJ / Producer/Remixer/Lover - London, England

When we first met super DJ/Producer/Remixer Joey Negro we were shocked and amazed to learn that he was not Puerto Rican as his moniker suggested and that his real name was Dave Lee. Using more monikers than Salman Rushdie when he was in the witness protection program, Dave alternately records as Joey Negro, Doug Willis, Sunburst Band, Jakatta and more. One of the funniest DJ’s in the house music scene, nearly every record he touches turns to gold! Some of you may remember his contributions including his previous Sunburst Band LP, Jakatta LP, Thelma Houston "I Need Someone Tonight", Can't Get High Without U, Universe of Love LP, his remixes of Erro, Brand New Heavies, Blaze and Roy Ayers. On the eve of the release of a new Sunburst Band album called "Until the End of Time" on his label Z Records, BounceFM.Com is proud to present Joey Negro. Here’s some of what he had to say:
