OK, here goes:
As much as I admire his music, I do believe that Barry has about three lines, and he just uses them in random order.
Same for Maurice White, but for a different reason. He really went off to lala-land with lyrics like:
"Take a ride in the sky
on our ship fantasii*
all your dreams will come true
right away
And we will live together,
until the twelfth of never"
Huh? * - this is how they are written. Quiz: which song?
Or:
"Take a chance, as you dance
In romance, in a trance
- so far so good... -
To advance, and expand
Got a dime and a rhyme
Brilliand mind still incline
In your prime to design"
What? Quiz - which song?
But my favorite 'strange' lyrics are (how seasonal!) Wham's "Last christmas". Has anyone ever noticed how George pronounces one very common word in a very strange fashion? Throughout the song!
"Last chritmas I G A F you my heart..."
Gaf? Or Geffe? I'm trying to be phonetic... What is that all about?
