snoop doggy BEAUTIFUL, is it a sample/remake from Gap band?

last night i just discovered that BEYONCE `crazy in love` has a sample by CHI-LITES.

now ive heard that Snoop doogy BEAUTIFUL has a feautured artist in it CHARLIE WILSON, from the original GAP BAND line up.

so i thought, the original melody for BEAUTIFUL was taken from a GAP BAND song from the early 80`s? just like coolio`s gangsta paradise was taken from stevie wonder?

if so, what song is that one by the gap band?

Didn't hear "Beautiful", but certainly another hit of Snoop called "Groupie" is basically a re-do of "Oops upside your head", a classic Gap Band track which melody was sampled in its entirety.
Yeah, Snoop ain't characterized by its originality in working with samples :)
