Love in C Minor and Romeo and Juliet are two that I know of.
Just wondering if there were alot of disco tracks with talking intro's?
eg. Cerrone's Love in C minor
Cheers

Tom Browne - Funkin' For Jamaica
Penny McLean's "Lady Bump".
The disco-bio "Josephine Superstar" of Phylicia Allen.
:D
Chantal Curtis - Get Another Love
Sylvester - Dance (Disco Heat)
Womb Prayer!
The album version of Barry White's "Let The Music Play" has a spoken intro with Barry thinking loud as he enters a disco.
come to think about it.....is there any B White song that doesn't have a spoken into??
Also,
Munich Machine - "Get on the Funk Train"
High Inergy - "Shoulda Gone Dancin'"
Sphinx - Judas
Cerrone - Cerrone's Paradise
Love & Kisses - Accidental Lover (omitted on US version)
Surprised you posted on the 'Talking Intro's' thread - I couldn't bring myself to do (until now, that is)... :lol:Originally Written by Graham_Start

D Train - You're The One For Me (lp version)
?? - My 12" of this doesn't have a talking intro. What's with that?Taana Gardner - Work That Body

Eva Eva Eva, an Italian trio, did their own Love In C Minor spoken intro in their "Tutto Previsto", complete with lewd remarks and throaty laughter.
Baccara's seminal Parlez-Vous Francais? opened with the girls bumping into each other in the street and starting to catch up on holiday romances.
Amanda Lear introduced her fab track Comics with a few words, too.
The telephone conversation(s) on the 1974 Donna Summer track The Hostage - not disco I guess, but spoken...

Are you talking about the slow bit at the start? It's still sung isn't it, not spoken?Originally Written by NickNack
Womb Prayer!
I guess this is what K-Bee means by "rubato" singing. :-? with D-Train. Yes, technically, they are not talking but IMO they're not actually singing the song, either. I guess we can leave it up to 'the whistler' if they fit his category or not.Originally Written by born2disco
Dammit, that's singing to me, not speaking!!
Womb Prayer!
Geez, chill out, man, you win. :D I just pulled the 12" and listened. It's been 25 years and yes, you're right, she is singing. That is not what I was hearing in my head when I thought of the song.Originally Written by born2disco
K-Bee: I put D Train on and of course you're right, too. It's just done in such a 'tic-toc' style until the song kicks in I think of it as 'spoken'.
OK? Everyone happy now? Now think of some more goodies for 'whistler'. :)
NICKY i was waiting for you to suggest lamont doziers 'dont want nobody to come between us'from one of your favourite albums
