most certainly will be "S.O.S. Fire In The Sky" by Deodato.
Released on Warner Bros in Late 1984 :-)
Ok all, been recently having flashbacks to the good old 8th floor disco in Philly and other clubs and remember a very popular track called "Fire In The Sky". Who is the artist? Anyone from back east here know what im talkin bout?

No thats not the one for sure..this was a female singing..very much round the time of Pamela Stanley "Comin Out of Hiding", that type style, was also earlier than 84![]()

in defense of bryanbergman, i'd have to say that based on the information you gave us, the logical suggestion would be the deodato track, which is in the style of "Coming Out of Hiding" (also from 1984), and does have a female vocal, and was played in the same clubs (at least in nyc) as pamela stanley right around the same time. "fire in my heart" by astaire also came out during the same period and certainly has a stanley-ish sound, but wasn't nearly as popular.
heheh
i've still got bets on that it is Deodato ;-)
