it's "The Fntastic Johnny C" now id like to know who's credited for the instrumentl version? i dont think its on an mfsb lp.
i know this band did alot of work, outside there home label
i remember an old friend of mine had tons of rare 45's
that i never heared of before, but they all had the mfsb sound! like "Waiting For The Rain" was a vocal tune, but theres an instr version too on another 45 as a diferent artist? anyway i forgot who did the 45's,but does anyone recall some tunes mfsb worked on? id like to see what yall come up with! :D and im not talkin'bout the stuff on there

What a great song this is, I just recently discovered this one and only have a recording in my HD waiting for a denoise job (returned borrowed 7"), but this one has MFSB sound written all over, can't find to much info on this artist.Originally Written by djsonic
Another MFSB production is The Modulations LP "It's rough out there" with the hit "I can't fight your love" never heard this full LP until recently and is great!
FANTASTIC JOHNNY C 'WAITIN FOR THE RAIN'/'DONT DEPEND ON ME'-PHIL LA OF SOULOriginally Written by djsonic
THE PHILLY SOUND 'WAITIN FOR THE RAIN'[INST]/'DONT DEPEND ON ME'[INST]PHIL LA OF SOUL
[island u.k gave these a belated release too due to northern soul demand on 'dont depend']
DJSONIC BIG question !!
some people may say their first release[uncredited] would be 'the horse' cliff nobles [phil la] though they probibly backed earlier releases on the label they appeared on loads of early philly labels ARTIC/NEPTUNE/GAMBLE/HUFF PUFF[as the producers with 'lady lady lady' finally out on u.k c.d :P ] if thats not enough the spinners,delphonics/stylistics/melba moore and probibly ANYONE who walked through the door at sigma sound :P
