Having collected these records for 20 years, I just had to see this documentary - and boy, it doesn't disappoint.
It's been filmed with a digital camera, which is surprisingly modern - I expected reconstituted celluloid. However, the focus is purely on Brown's not so handsome mug for nearly 2 hours, bathed in prison cell lighting. An hour in and he's totally in the dark, just red eyes and gap teeth visible - I presume no-one had a coin for the electricity meter. Brown speaks in an unintelligable drawl which, thanks to the no-budget production, becomes a totally meaningless drone after the first five minutes. This renders the rest of the video even less watchable, but high in comedy/tragedy/farce value. I haven't even bothered watching disc two - ten minutes of disc one was enough. Reassuring to know that such low standards are still possible in this day and age, by the undisputed king of cheap.
Even the paper labels on the (obviously) home-made discs are starting to peel already. Wonder if it's on Amazon?
