    Bonnie Boyer

Just got a copy of her '79 LP 'Give In To Love' & it's OK but was a bit disappointed with the title track as I seem to remember reading that it got alot of play at the time. However all isn't lost as there are a couple of tracks that I rather like, 'Ill Be The Music' which is very camp & 'Never Never' which is written & produced by the great Giuliano Salerni of Hi Gloss/Ultimate fame. The rest is forgettable dross IMO. Anyway, to get to my question ( ) can anyone confirm if Ms.Boyer was related to the Hollywood actor Charles Boyer? (I can't remember where I heard that titbit!)

Can anyone clear this up for me please? I notice on this site's 'in memory' section there is a Boni Boyer (note the different spelling) who passed away & people have left comments which seem to be about Bonnie Boyer who is blonde & sang 'Got To Give In To Love' in '79 whereas 'Boni' is afro-american & worked with Prince. I'm confused! :(

    BB,

Here you can read about Boni(ta) Boyer who worked with Prince and passed away:

The BoNNiE Boyer, SD is talking about is a white disco-artist and a complete other person. She's still alive though. Many people mix both names.

Thanks Video. It confused me because there are comments left by people about the white disco artist (Bonnie) in the section about the dead Prince-connected artist (Boni).

Just watched SIGN 'O' THE TIMES and Boni and Bonnie are definitely not the same person...was pretty confused by this for a while. I saw Bonnie Boyer on "Soap Factory" in '79 and there is no way she morphed into Boni Boyer.

The obit on this site needs to be edited.
I'm not sure I'm following you... I have her listed as Boni Boyer and NOT Bonnie so what needs to be edited? Thanks.

Mea culpa, Bernie...I hadn't seen the upgraded obit pages, and the obit is correct. I edited my post.
