Could forum members judge this compilation for me!

Good Disco compilations are hard to get in Australia. I found this one called chilled/disco, I do know Loleatta Holloway and First Choice, just wanted to know if the other tracks are very well know and what forum members think what tracks are good or bad?

    3. dreaming Loleatta Holloway
    4. let no man put asunder First Choice
    5. dr love First Choice
    6. ten percent Double Exposure
    7. this will be a night to remember Eddie Holman
    8. helplessly Moment of Truth
    9. ain’t no mountain high enough Inner Life
    10. love sensation Loleatta Holloway
    11. just as long as I got you Love Committee
    12. the beat goes on and on Ripple
    13. jingo Candido
    14. ooh I love it The Salsoul Orchestra
    15. love is you Carol Williams

I'm surprised this compilation doesn't have "Salsoul" in the title, since all these songs are well known disco classics from the Salsoul label.

Every song on here is good, and when you hear "Love is you" by Carol Williams you may recognise it as the sample used throughout "Groovejet" by Spiller featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

You should buy this compilation, it will be a good education in the best Salsoul has to offer, and consequently, some of the best disco around as well! :D

KBee: It's a double CD and cost me about 9 euros.
Lotsa good tracks. All long/longish versions (I couldn't care less whether they're different mixes or missing a minute or whatever), the shortest being Carol Williams - Love Is you at 4.38. Most of the others are 6 - 9 minutes in length.

The people that said "Disco Sucks" was the massess of the mainstream socciety LOL. And if disco was what the top 40 pop radio stations played..id agree disco sucks! But in the clubs, was a totaly different story.

I've played some real disco to people that were part of that whole "disco sucks" movement and they loved it! LOL..so there ya go..small history lesson
