How do you keep your DISCO records sorted?

Hey all

Just thought I'd ask the "High Fidelity" question and ask:

How do you sort your records?, in particular Disco?

Do you store your Disco LP's with your Disco 12" singles?

How do you sort them? Perhaps...
Tempo by Genre?
Alphabetical by Genre?
Purely Tempo irregardless of genre?
Purely Alphabetical irregardless of genre?
or... they're too disorganised for me to organise them???

Well I'm a librarian by profession so I tend to be very concerned about those kinda things.
I keep 12" & LP's apart from each other- individually they are alfabetized and as well as in chronological order.
Everything is indexed in a Musifind Pro database system for quick reference.

I must admit, organizing music in genres doesn't make much sense to me in a private collection, since it's not meant to be used (like in a store or a library) by the general public. Indexing genres in a database system is another matter though, and is higly useful for all kinds of searches.

I'm rambling on.....I'll stop now :lol:

I keep my LP's & 12's seperate from each other in alphabetical order.

I use to put the first the release to the last, but over the years have gotten lazy.. :oops:

In my current place they are lining the walls of my extra room with my roommate with a bed in between them. He thinks i'm a freak for still having them. :roll:
