Saw her in concert in 1988 when she did a superb jazz set with a three piece jazz trio. The set reflected her Live In Vine Street LP that came out at the time - and caused quite a lot of controversy, I recall, as she did a lot of jazz numbers off the new LP rather than her 70T's soul classics.
It was the first gig I ever took my partner (now wife) to and it cost me an arm and a leg to get the tickets.
