Well, Bernie, you ole trickster...
I went back to listen to John's 9:00AM Morning Mix for a third time today..and what to my wondering ears should appear but SF's own Paul Parker "singing", (ahem, no I WONT'T say it) "Pushin' Too Hard". It seems as through the mix for next week is already up--even though the dates indicate it shouldn't be there til Sunday, May 12. Oh well, I guess I'll survive...
This week John starts with PP and then mixes into the inimitable vocal stylings of Mr. & Mrs. LePage on "Your Love".Then there's a long instrumental passage that I don't know--I suppose if I say I like it, it will turn out to be Costandinos or Rinder & Lewis; (that's sarcasm. folks).
But I DID like it. Then on to Madleen Kane with "Secret Love Affair" & "Forbidden Love" (always liked Ms Kane's stuff). Then Cut Glass with "Aive With Your Love" and finally a long overlay that gets a little freaky (John, did I hear the Tina Fabrique version of "AWYL" in there also? or did she cover the other Cut Glass song?--not sure--that ultimatley culminates in Viola Wills doing her "Stormy Weather" cover.
Great Mixing, John.
Now about the rest of that sleaze set--what other songs were in that set? Do ya think I have a one track mind? Sorry to get all Eddie Haskell on ya (i.e. obsequious butt-kisser), but, this time, I AM sincere.
