Has anyone tried mixing disco with the Denon 2000 F cd player?
Do you find it rather difficult to use their pitch bend buttons vs. the jog wheel on the newer models?
I've never used the Denon 2000 F cd player, but back in the mid 80's I got stuck with two players with similar controls. Cd's aren't vinyl, but with practice and 'JOG' wheel control v.s. 'Buttons' you can control the cd's abit easier. Mixing cd's is a 'art-form' the same as mixing vinyl is, but it is a 'heck' of alot harder for jocks that started with vinyl first. If you want cd players that work just like vinyl, they're out there. Just more expensive than the regular cd players.... Check out the Pioneer cdj 800 or cdj 1000 the jog wheel responds exactly like vinyl. I use the new Denon s5000's and the are incredible. Works just like a turntable. These cd players, unfortunately run from between $750-$1200 each depending on where you get them. To go a little more consverative get the Denon 2600 dual cd player or the Numark Axis 8's. Both are real easy to use for vinyl jocks.
