    Tony Humphries Mix Tape

    hello.

    wow. this is good!

i only know one song from it (as I'm new to this game)

    Convertion - Let's do it

That's great, into the mix comes some
high pitched male vocal singing ...where
he holds the note sounds like

    'dancinnnnnnnnnnnnn feel so high
o - oooooooo inside tooo dehhhh'

over a hypnotic loop - fantastic

    ---------

others I'd like to know are

'give it on up - it will make you better and you...'
    'give it on up'

    and

    THIS

    --------------
    ..now i don't want you...........
    i don't want you back -
    i don't want you back

    i don't want you back -
    i don't want you back

    stay stay, stay away

all in all the tapes great
it's got 'another one bites the dust'
    on it if that helps??

    ???

'I Don't Want Want You Back' is by The Ramonas, featuring Ramona Brooks on Q Records, 1980. Still trying to work out the rest...

While we're listening to this, does anyone know what the song is that starts about at 34:45 just after Fantasy - You're too late.

Some of it's through a vocoder or something. It goes:

"You came into the world, not knowing what to do"

    Then later
"Comin coming I'm coming down to you. Coming coming and now you're ready"

Then a robot voice starts "I'm ready, I'm ready, yes I am. I'm ready, I'm ready"

I'm thinking it sounds a bit like Chas jankel

    ........

That's one of my 3 favorite songs from the summer of 1980

It's by KANO and the song is called "I'm Ready" on Emergency Records

    On the very first link...
The track at about 6 mins is "Take your time do it right" SOS Band
after Young & Company at about 14 mins is Brothers Johnson "Stomp". After that is Loleata Holloway's "Love Sensation" much sampled by Black Box :-?
At 42 mins is the tail end of George Benson's "Love X Love" The track after that is "Call Me" Evelyn Champaign King...I think :-?

    On the final link...
At 11 mins after The Police is Slave "Watching You" (a tad too slow) After that is Teena Marie "I Need Your Lovin'" After her is Sylvia Striplin"Give Me Your Love" At about 26 mins: Unlimited Touch "I Hear Music In The Streets". At 37 mins: Geraldine Hunt "you cant fake the feeling" The final choon sounds like The Clash :-?

    What an eclectic mixture.

"Call Me" from that time frame may actually be by Skyy.
