BUT still no "Make Me Believe In You" by Patti Jo!!!!!
for all the work that you must have put into this. It is the the most comprehensive list of top Disco tunes I've ever seen that I honestly think has been put together not only by people who actually were there, but also by people who obviously love great music.
As an ex's Mum used to say 'You either know...or you don't'![]()
BUT still no "Make Me Believe In You" by Patti Jo!!!!!

I missed the News tonight. Damn! My punch-lines are always too late.
Sixty minutes is nothing special (but it\'s all the world to me)
SD, so ya mean someone's actually noticing the mess o' potamia Bush and his war-crazed cronies have created.
Seems here (in the U.S.) that Donald Rumsfeld is goin' down for the S&M "homosexual" sicko games the wacked- out U.S. military were playing with their Iraqi capitves. Bush will cut him loose at some point, I'd predict.
Bush still has his near 50% approval rating--this week, at least.

All right guys, put BUSH back in the non-music forum, if you please. :x
Sorry Nicky, my fault. BUSH could be considered a political or sexual topic I s'pose! (Sandy Dee in naff hetero joke shock!!)
...ya gotta beat the street......
It certainly was interesting. Heaps of stuff i voted for (or if i forgot to send that email than others did) got in. Crying still that "Dance With You" by Carrie Lucas was absent. Did many people get surveyed? it was pretty cool. Especially Slick's "Space Bass" and Gene Chandlers "Get Down".
Boogie,
I had DANCE WITH YOU on my list... but it was one of my final cuts to make the TOP 100.
Fantastic to see a fresh new disco/funk list and even better "Top 700" wow :D :D :D !!!! I'll have to have a gander at the list and see what sort of great funky grooves are in the list. So far had only a little look.
Reading a couple of comments, I too agree "This Will Be A Night To Remember" by Eddie Holman should be in the list, got that song on Mastercuts Classic Salsoul 2 and it's a bonza track :D :D :D !!!! Fair dinkum, how can a song like that be left out??? Ahh well we can't win'em all. At least "Movin'" by the Brass Construction is in there :D !
Also Patti Jo's "Make You Believe In Me" was mentioned too, now that's funky drumming :D :D :D !!!
Bloody oath I missed a lot being away from the site, I'll have to make sure I keep up the visits and posts then.

Love that one :DOriginally Written by zeca azevedo
Well I'm happy with the list although a list can never be complete. (+300 = 1000)
Wouldn't it be a great idea to release this as a box-set as the Ultimate Discocompilation.
Pleazzzz :D

I totally forgot to put Evelyn King & Harold Melvin on my lists... however, Evelyn made the final cut...
I was going over this list again and found "I haven't stop dancing yet" by Gonzalez is listed twice(469/228)maybe we could replace it with "Shame" ? :D Also it should read Gato Barbieri for "Poinciana" (526).
As much as I love the group Azymuth, adding Fittipaldi (soundtrack) to the 700 is stretching the disco tag! (it's a great LP, just not disco. It may have got played in clubs back in the days in Rio/Sao Paulo, though it's from 73 so I'm not sure!)
I originally come from just outside Leeds, and use to go to the Central club where Ian Dewhurst played. He was already spinning disco in 77, and yes Eddie Holman is a soul song, but with a disco edge....

I think "Poinciana" by Gato should go on before "Shame" honestly. I havent looked at the list in a while personaly but...if your saying Gato is the only one who did a disco "Poinciana" then the entry is probably right cause there was Paradise Express, Frankie Crocker and MFSB as well who all did disco "Poinciana" covers..and maybe more I dont know about :D

well, Let's see what Bernie decides, cause both "Shame" and "Bad luck" are already listed.
Fixed. See song #700 as it is the new entry.
