Freddie James=Jesse Franklin?

I have got a 12 inch version by Freddie James titled "Don't Turn Your Back On Love" (8'36") that was released on the High Fasion Music label in 1982 which turns out to be exactly the same track as a 12 inch by Jesse Franklin with the same title from 1983 (8'36", released on Carrere). Both tracks are identical although the track info on both records differs.

Anyone got any background on whether Freddie James is Jesse Franklin or else?
