Good news, all you EW&F fans (myself included) - after their inclusion in the Hall Of Fame (I deliberately omitted the "Rock & Roll" part - what up with that name???), EW&F are now receiving yet another award in recognition for their musical contribution. Well deserved!

I was lucky to see them when they were at their best still, in 1978 near Stoke in England (they did two UK gigs, the other one was in London I think!). This was only my second ever live gig, first one been The Stylistics at the Batley Variety Club a few years earlier, I was just 17 and just getting into Disco & Jazz-funk. The gig was the famous tour with the Pyramid that they disappear into, also mid-air bass playing (clever how they pulled that one off).
Good to see that there making good music again!

Hi GV. Where did E,W & F play in Stoke? (I assume u mean Stoke on Trent); I grew up there & can't imagine such a huge band playing in such a dreary place. :-?

Hi Steely Dan, If my memory is still holding up! I think it was at Bingley Hall, some kind of a Agricultural Building for selling livestock! (yes not very glamorous indeed, and it was located out in the countryside)
Still, it was a great gig.
