The Player by First Choice
I found this 12" when I went to NYC this past winter. It's a re-release of the original with a FULL extended mix on both sides. The Player on the LP clocks in around 7 minutes, however, the 12" I found clocks in at 10:32. AND, the b-side features an instrumental version of the track that clocks in at 9:02. I LOOOOOVE this version compared to the standard 7 minute LP version. At the end there's lots of Vibes, chanting and lots of instrumentation and improvisation.. Otherwords, it fu**ing JAMS!! :P :P The only drawback is that there is an apparent hissing in the background like it was mastered from some cheap tape source..
Im curious if this was record is an exact reproduction of the original (if there ever was an original 12" single of this track).
Here's the track listing.
