where i live theres an old girl whos always hit the clubs and the dancefloor shes very famous here everybody knows and loves her shes....ALICE :P SHE HITS THE FLOOR AND DANCES ALL NIGHT 8)
about ten years ago she got a bit famous nationally in the newspapers and on t.v as her then favourite favourite club 'BANNED' her as a couple of punters complained theyd got smacked as she was throwing her arms around BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  there was outcry and she was invited to london to do her stuff on t.v and the club was named and shamed
on saturday i was out at a club and there was a big cheer and my mate i was talking to at the bar said 'wow look whos just come in' it was ALICE :P she had a big hat full of flashing lights and straight to the dancefloor.
when she did the t.v doc she was 82 so i reakon shes now 92 :o any one else know any disco oldies or can you top that!!!!
Wasn't Rollerina in her 80s? :-?
Just when you thought it was all over - no, no, no
No, that was Disco Sally. I danced next to her in Studio 54 and you could see she was just being desperate, just like so many other saddos on that particular floor.
this girl has never been in it out of desparation she just wants a happy time and the reason i admire her so much is that she picks herself up gets dressed up takes a taxi and does it all by herself ,shes not escorted.
shes never been a saddo she just loves lots of glitter :P
I think "Alice" might have been at the Troc Reunion party. (Or maybe her American cousin??)Lotsa "senior citizens" gettin' down with their walkers & oxygen machines!!! :P :P :P
They (security) confiscated the "poppers"...I kid you not.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
  Used to see this guy all over New York, rollerskating in his 'house dress' drama. Hysterical. :DOriginally Written by discofrank
the man behind rollerina was an activist - i met him when i joined ACT UP in nyc - i think he used to be a lawyer
Can I ask was Disco Sally the person they based the older lady in 54 the movie on? And did she really die on the dance floor as in the movie?
Yes she is and no, she did not die there. She was a tiny person with a rigor mortis grin. As the heavy bass beats hit her she jerked around on the Studio floor arms up in the air, as if drowning. I gaught her eyes when she removed her shades and there was a pained, lonely look there - a truly sad sight to behold, Sally. She must indeed have been 80, a reminder for us all to quit around the age of 75, 76?
from what i have been told by my elders
the 1940's and the 1970's was the best time for nightlife ever
i guess Sally was one of the few who were fortunate enough to have been able to have lived through both

Btw, Spellbound that's a great pic.. Wish I was around then.. well, at least old enough to enjoy nightlife.. :x
Here in Melbourne, we have Miss Vic!!
Recently quoted as saying to yours truly: "Love, it's taken me 27 years, but now I get free entry and drugs everywhere I go!" Bless.
We also have someone called Raymond, aka 'The Fan Man'. He is at any party or event worth going to, must be in his 60s, looks like he belongs behind the counter of an antique shop, but parties harder than most... still!
Womb Prayer!
