Miami bass

Again, another topic about definitions......
I noticed that several early 80's electros are labelled as "Miami bass".
What does it mean? Where this definition came from? Please some example!!!

the way I understood it, Miami bass was a sorta electro/break kinda music coming outta the town around 20 years ago with more emphasis on r&b like vocals than the normally more hip-hop influenced stuff.

I always think about Exposé and Shannon when I hear this style of music mentioned. But I may be wrong.

Suppose we should call upon the good Greg Wilson for assistance :lol: :)

Miami Bass can be as broad as say..
BODY MECHANIC by Quadrant Six or as exclusive like the cheap 80's (hey i have a casio keyboard let's make music) local label releases of the mid to late 80s from the area.. say
"Jealous Fellas" , "Sally, that girl" and the "L'Trimm" releases :roll:
