I must admit I don't remember many mixed CD's/LP's back then which I liked - most of the mixed stuff back then came out of Spain and was shockingly sampled to death. Most of this awful stuff came out via Max Music, Barcelona.
If you're looking for some good Dance compilations, you could try the "Deep Heat" series of compilations which were released thru Telstar Records in the UK between the Late 80's and early 90's. I must admit, having only bought them vinyl, I'm not sure if the CD's are mixed or not...
Another great series back then were the Warehouse Raves compilations from Rumour Records in the UK - not mixed, but worth looking for. More on the rave/hardcore tip.
finally, if you're getting adventurous, Music Factory Mastermixes released many pre-mixed CD's/LP's which again, weren't to my liking - but they were quite popular for the day - and featured some very prominent people behind the scenes.
Cheers!
