    Miss Ross?...Naaaah!

    Hiya everyone.

I recently heard an old track on the radio, but the darn DJ didn't name the artist. It has a female vocal who sounds like Di Ross, but I don't reckon it's her, and the lyrics in the chorus go something like:

    "I...I really really love you."

which she repeats a second time. I think it's from the early '80s.
If anyone can name it, or even post up a sound file (I can't alas), I would be eternally grateful.

It may be a silly suggestion, but if you didn't hear it clearly, it could be 'I Really Love You' by Heaven & Earth. It has a male, falsetto lead vocal. Sounds nothing like Miss Ross, but it's just a suggestion... :-?

Here's clip on Amazon. They're filed under reggae there!

The only thing that comes to mind is Miss Ross's version of Stevie Wonder's "Too Shy To Say"....

"And I can't go on this way
    feeling stronger everyday
but being too shy to say
    I really love you"

She may repeat the "I really love you"; it's a ballad not a dance-tune.

From the Richard Perry produced "Baby, It's Me" LP (1977)

    Just a guess.
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."
