    Shell shockin

Hi everyone, here's another one from Deep House Page.

It's at: http://www.deephousepage.com/Lee_Collins_1986.ram (sorry I don't have the technology to post samples).

The song starts about 47mins 15seconds into the mix. It's quite funky and Synth-heavy. The line "shine, on my day" or "shine, all my day" is repeated often throughout.

Someone suggested it might be called "Shockin" or "Shellshockin"

I'm really grateful for any suggestions at all

Kendela: Do you know or did you find out the name of the track @ approx 10' 30" with repeated vocals?
" You can get off on music
    Lets Get Off "

The record you're searching for here, almost sounds like West Phillips to me. There can't be many people with a voice like that.

Quinny, I've not listened to the mix yet, but the track you're asking about might well be Le Pamplemousse's You Can Get Off On The Music.

That sounds quite probable ladyboy. I hadn't been able to identify that one either.

Another possibility might be "Let's get it off" by Rafael Cameron although I haven't actually heard this tune to compare them. SOmeone suggested it to me though.

Quinny, who's West philips? I've never heard of him.

West Phillips had a sizeable club hit in '83? with "I'm Just A Sucker For A Pretty Face". You should be able to find that somewhere and compare voices. The tune you're after has the simplicity of 'Sucker' too in some ways, although 'Sucker' is much more funky and sparse.....so.

I have listened to it now, and it is Le Pamplemousse.

Thanks ladyboy I was after the name of that tune too but a bit less than this mystery funk one.

Are Le Pamplemousse another name for Rinder & Lewis or am I getting mixed up again?

Quinny - I'll try and check out "sucker", thanks for the tip.

Yeah, it's R&L. Can't remember the name of the album offhand, but it's the one with a woman's arse in yellow silk hotpants, I think.

I think it must be pretty rare Jarno.

I've had absolutely no luck finding it.

I've posted it on pretty much every message board I can think of and asked people who I thought might know but no one seems to have a clue. One person had heard it before and thought it might be called Shellshocking but couldn't remember the artist.

If you get any response from the site you put it on I'd love to know.
