It seems so difficult to learn anything about this recording or about Rare Pleasure. Given the record label and the sound of the track, I'm guessing this was a UK production. Can anyone confirm what the country of origin was or say anything else about the group?

discodjin why do you think this label [cheri] is english? its american,if only records like this were being made in england in 76 :P ,got bypassed on release and you were much more likely to hear this in a northern soul club in england than a disco club,like so many records then there was just so much being released weekly

First Choice did a version of this track didn't they? It was good but a bit pointless as it was very similar IMO.

Maybe discodjinn has the UK issue of Rare Pleasure - it came out here on DJM 7".

DD - I don't know that much about the group, but I do remember Beverly McClain from Rare Pleasure was involved in the opening of an endangered species resturant in Dorset UK. Apparantly they did a fab Tigerburger.
