no STAN i dont think motown would put out althea & donna after that disasterous appearance on top of the pops.....hi girls we want you to do it live tonight and the b.b.c orchestra is gonna back you :o
you have to go back for this so far back youre on the border of the 60s

Hey DISCODISK you don't say anything about my Ken Booth guess so i'll take it that it's wrong :(

As for your clue that it borders the 60's i can't find any Reggae hit in 1970 so i'll have to say

either Double Barrel - Dave & Ansil Collins 1971

or The Israelites - Desmond Dekker & the Aces 1969

I assume it can't be Desmond Dekker as it's in the 60's
    & i can't find any reference between Dave & Ansil Collins & Tamla :-?

Quote from Richies Cellar of Soul
In 1970 Motown issued Bob and Marcia's Reggae hit Young Gifted and Black in the USA, after it was a hit in England

And just an easy one to to test you with
Can you name the Tamla Motown & Reggae artists who both had a hit in the 70's with the same song 8)
