All Night Thing - Invisible Man's Band

I would just like to confirm that the US 12" of All Night Thing is in fact 8:00 long (both the song and instumental). The disco vault shows it as 8:00, but I just recieved it from GEMM, to discover only the instumental is 8:00, and the song is 6:20. I think I purchased the UK 12" accidentaly, which i already have on CD. Thanks.

I have the commercial US 12" (Mango MLPS-7782) and the track times are 6:20 for the vocal and 8:00 for the instrumental.

There are TWO different pressings of this Mango 12 inch, but they share the SAME catalogue #. The one I have in the Vault is the longer 8:00 vocal mix. I also have the 6:20 vocal so I cued up and played both copies on seperate turntables to confirm that they are different lenghts and not just a typo on the label. The one in the Vault is 8 minutes long.

If you buy from an online source you will need to confirm with the seller that it is the 8:00 vocal version as opposed to the 6:20 vocal. Hope this helps.

Thanks Graham & Bernie. Yes the one one I have is the shorter vocal, so I'll have to hunt down the 8m. I'm also going to start nagging record companies such as Unidisc, Island (Mango) and Airplay/Universal records (of the Funky/Disco/Soul Collector Series) and see if we can get this gem remastered on CD. Thanks again.
