Hello,
since 20 years I´m desperately searching for the original record these (bonus) beats are coming from, I mean only the beats, the I.O.U. and Whiz Kid is added by Latin Rascals. These beats appeared also on Big Apple II Genius At Work vinyl, also with some other samples in addition. I´ve asked a lot of experts already, nobody could help until now, so I give it a try here.
Anyone ? Thanks in advance.

Hi Carmine:
A very famous Hip Hop/Electro guy also pointed me in this direction, but no it´s not Hotbox, I do own the US 12" 4 versions, not on there (also different drum-sounds).
But I agree, great track.
Thx.
hotdisco,
i put it on as i typed the post to see if that was it, and it was the same beat.
why specifically do you say it isnt it?
carmine
Carmine, thank you again for your answer. I was not mentioning further in my last reply - sorry - that YES Hotbox IS IN THERE @0:28 - 0:36 sec. (the synth added), but I´m after the origin of the bonus beats going thru the whole sample, you can hear them SOLO from 0:00 - 0:12 sec. without any foreign addition. As I stated, I OWN the Hotbox US 12" (Polydor 817 414), these beats are not on there, not in any of the 4 versions. You wrote you´ve listened to it and "it was the same beat", which I don´t understand, I don´t know of another copy/remix of that title, but if so - and you seem to be so sure about: I´m more than curious to hear it, feel free to send me a snippet/mp3 to > email see profile. Thanks again.
Kind regards
hi hotdiscomix,
yes you are correct, the bonus beats are not that of hotbox. i too have this sample that i recorded on the old ktu. i will track it down for you. i know i have it somewhere.

I played this clip to a friend who was heavily into creating edits like the one you posted. Since it was over the phone he had a hard time hearing it well, but he said you may want to check into something called "Masters of the Beat" on the Tommy Boy label. He admits his memory is a little cloudy, but give it a shot and see.
