Maybe Slave with "Party Lights" (or "Party Lites") from the ablum "Show Time" 1981, Cotillion Records.
i'm trying to ID an 80s song which i think is called "party lights". it's by a girl group who sounds something like klymaxx, like kind of 80s, funk-pop-dance sorta thing. during the song, they say the names of the girls in the band, and say "talking about party lights" or something like that. Can anyone id who sings it and it's proper title? Thanks!!!

Thanks, i think slave is an all guy band? so i don't think it could be that, since it was a group of girl singers?Originally Written by hotdiscomix
Sounds like 'Party Lights' by female vocal quartet, First Love - on CIM, from 1982. It's produced by Donald 'funky bass synth' Burnside and is on LP & 12".
"...If the beat don't make you move, you got "sea men" in your shoes, party lights..." :o
What would you do without your muesli...where would you be without a bowl?
There was a "Party Lights" titled song on the Munich Machine LP "Body Shine" (1979).
George Duke produced a "Party Lights" for France Joli in 1985.
Natalie Cole did a "Party Lights" in 1977.
Probably none of the above--just adding my 2 cents.
